Deputy Commissioner Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh has said that corruption is undermining our country’s roots. He expressed these views while addressing as Chief Guest at an event organized regarding Anti- Corruption Day at Government MC Boys High School Attock. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Attock Zarmina Wazir, Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Establishment Attock Sanaullah, Chief Executive Officer Education Malik Mohsin Abbas, District Education Officer Secondary Akram Zia, President Anjuman Tajran Rashid ur Rehman and other officers attended the function. Deputy Commissioner Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh said that it must be our first and foremost principle to respect the law of our country and make considerables efforts to improve it. Corruption has affected the overall system of our country. The need of the time is to play the role of the supportive citizen so that a healthy and corruption-free society can grow, because a better society is the guarantee of our survival.He further said that we should follow the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that both the bribe taker and the giver are the fuel of fire. He said that in the light of the government’s instructions, awareness seminars and walks are being organized throughout the country so that corruption can be erased from the society and the civil institutions. Other speakers from the function also addressed the ills of corruption. Later on, a walk was also been held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner attock Imran Hamid Sheikh.
