On the directives of ECP , monitoring officers Muhammad Saleem Raja and Syed Zaigham Altaf paid visits to different polling stations established in Attock and Sanjwal Cantonment to ensure free , fair and transparent elections which will be held on 12th September. The monitoring officers are also keeping an eye on the election campaign of the candidates to check any violation of the existing laws and SOPs. Both the monitoring officers visited all the polling stations which include FG Boys Jamshed High School Attock , GGHS No.2 Attock , FG Primary School Dairy Farm Attock , FG Public High School Attock , FG Girls High School Attock , FG Girls Middle School Attock , GPS Attock Saddar , FG Boys High School Sanjwal and FG Girls High School Sanjwal.
While talking to newsmen they said that all arrangements have been finalized for the Cantt area elections. All the poling stations are having all basic facilities including security cameras . They said , staff deputed on election duty has been imparted proper training . It to be noted that s8x candidates are on the run for 03 general member seats of Attock Cantonment and Sanjwal Cantonment . For these general seats election will be held on 12th September . As per the District Election Office sources for general seats of Attock Cantt Ward I and Ward II , four candidates which include Shah Nawaz Malik and Syed Mehdi Naqvi and Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Shehzad Ahmad are on the run. Similarly for single seat of Sanjwal Cantt , Muhammad Altaf Rafiq and Muhammad Zia u Din are on the run. It is worth mentioning that in Attock Cantt the number of registered voters is 11936 which include 5448 male and 6448 female voters .
Similarly in Sanjwal Cantt the number of registered voters is 1670 , which include 872 male and 793 female voters . It is note worthy that no female candidate has filed nomination papers in Attock and Sanjwal Cantonments. . To conduct these elections smoothly under the supervision of District Returning Officer , 02 returning officers , 04 assistant returning officers, 15 presiding officers , 15 senior presiding officers , 29 assistant presiding officers and 44 poling officers will perform their duties on the day of election .On the other in Kamra Cantt one female candidate has been elected unopposed from ward 4 while election for other four wards has been cancelled as all the candidates who had filed their nomination papers for 04 seats of Kamra Cantt have with drawn their nomination papers because of some differences with the authorities of Kamra Cantt .
