This govt under the dynamic leadership of Premier Imran Khan is taking revolutionary steps for the uplift and development of agriculture sector and prosperity of the farmers and its ample proof is that bank loan worth Rs 900 billion and fifty percent subsidy will be given on seed and fertilizers to the farmers . Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam said this while addressing a seminar at Jinnah Hall Attock arranged by Fatima Fertilizer Company .
On the occasion Zonal Manager Fatima Fertilizers Waseem Khan Bahadur , other officials of the fertilizer company , Former City Nazim Rana Shoukat Ali , Rana Liaqat Ali , Malik Shamsher Khan , Malik Ejaz of Saidan , Ahsan Khan and large number of farmers who had come from different areas of the district were present. Malik Amin Aslam said that farmers are the backbone of our country and for their prosperity all out efforts are being made . He emphasized upon the farmers to use modern agricultural techniques beside conventional methods to get maximum yield and to compete with the ever changing world .
Malik Amin said , to achieve our goals in agri sector Federal and provincial govts must be on the same page . He said , there is a great scope in agri sector if the farmers accept the new agri methods and also use modern agri appliances . He said , FAO(Food and Agri Organization ) is launching a Climate Smart Agriculture Program in eight districts of the country which include five districts of South Punjab and three districts of upper Sind. SAPM said , climate change in Monson rains is badly hampering the yield of different crops .
Malik Amin said that support price of the wheat will be enhanced to give maximum benefit to the farmers . Malik Amin assured the farmers that he would inform Prime Minister Imran Khan about the complicated system of bank loans and said that the system will be improved . Earlier Progressive Farmer Ahsan Khan in his address informed the SAPM Malik Amin regarding complicated procedure of the bank loans . He also apprised the SAPM that agriculture department was using bulldozers which were given to the department in 1993 . He also demanded that subsidy to farmers be given on diesel , seeds , fertilizers and electricity .
