Australia were 288 for three at the close after winning the toss on the opening day of the Pink-ball first test against Pakistan in Brisbane today.

At Stumps, skipper Steve Smith was unbeaten on 110 with rookie Peter Handscomb not out 64.

The Australians lost the wickets of Matt Renshaw for 71, David Warner for 32 and Usman Khawaja for four.

From Pakistan Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Amir and Yasir Shah grabbed one wicket each.
