A senior journalist and his elder brother have sought help from Prime Minister , Chief Justice , Chief Minister Punjab and IG Police Punjab against a land mafia(Qabza Group) for allegedly trying to occupy their plot worth Rs 17 million . Senior Journalist Syed Inam Kazmi (associated with state run TV Channel) and his brother Syed Zargham Kazmi while addressing a press conference alleged that a plot measuring 2 kanal and 14 marlas was purchased by their late father Maj Ehtisham Kazmi in 1986 and its owner ship documents are available with them .
Inam Kazmi said that in 2009 he purchased 25 marlas land from his father and set up his own service station and a farm house while from the remaining area his father sold 12.5 marla land to one of his friends Maj Akbar Rafiq . They said that in 2010 soon after the death of their father one Sheikh Wadood and his son Sheikh Jawad prepared fake documents with the conivance of Revenue Deptt officials and filed a case to prove the owner ship of 17 marla plot .
They said that after a prolong legal proceedings of almost nine years in 2019 the learned court gave verdict in their (Inam and Zargham) favour and declared the documents of Sheikh Wadood and Sheikh Jawad null and void. They said that the learned judge ordered the district administration to get the verdict implelemented but to no avail and now both father and son were trying to occupy their plot worth Rs 1.7 million . Inam and Zargham said that they both were respectable citizens and can not resist the land mafia. They said that they had lodged a complaint with DC Attock and DPO Attock as their life and the life of their families was also at stake .
They demanded that Chief Justice Pakistan , Prime Minister , Chief Minister Punjab and IG Police Punjab to take notice and direct the concerned to ensure justice. When contacted Sheikh Abdul Wadood when contacted for their comments told journalists that the allegations levelled against his and his son were entirely baseless and futile and there was no truth in it . They said that they never tried to occupy the plot of both the brothers . Sheikh Wadood further said that he was a land lord and jad so for devoted land worth Rs 120 million for different mosques and sold 700 kanal land to govt departments and other people how he and his son could indulge in occupying just 17 marlas .
