West Indies beat Australia by three wickets in the fifth match of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2020 at Kimberley.Earlier, West Indies captain won the toss and put Australia into bat.

Batting first Australia under-19 were bowled out for 179 runs in 35.4 overs.Opener Jake Fraser-Mcgurk remained top scorer with 84 runs. He smashed nine boundaries in his 97-ball knock.

Patrick Rowe added 40 while skipper Mackenzie Harvey scored 20 runs.Only three Australian batsman reached double figures.For West Indies under-19, Jayden Seals bagged four while Matthew Forde took three wickets.

In reply West Indies Under-19 achieved the 180-run target for the loss of seven wickets in 46 overs.Nyeem Young remained top scorer with 61 runs. He hit six boundaries and one six in his innings.

Matthew Forde added 23 while Leonardo Julien made 20 runs.For Australia, Tanveer Sangha bagged four wickets.This is the first win for West Indies against Australia in all Under-19 World Cup matches.

In other matches of the day, Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by nine wickets under Duckworth Lewis Method while United Arab Emirates thrashed Canada by eight wicket.

The match between New Zealand and Japan Under-19 ended in no result due to rain.
