Rehabilitation and widening of 23 Km long Faqeerabad Ghazi road will be started soon at the cost of Rs 800 million. Federal Minister for Energy and Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan said this while talking to Alburraq News during his visit to Ghazi. He said , this road is with in the limits of KP and Punjab but all the funds have been allocated by KP govt. He said , this road was built in 1970 by Wapda but now this has been handed over to KP Highway Authority and in this regard Wapda has issued an NOC.
Omer Ayub said , survey of the road has been completed and designing work is in progress. He said , a large number of population of Punjab and KP will be benefited from this road. On the other side as per the insiders , Punjab govt was approached to allocate funds for this road but to no avail. It is worth mentioning that this road will benefit the residents more than 10 villages of Attock district(Punjab) specially tehsil Hazro .
