Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the remainder of Pakistan’s pre-season training camp after being diagnosed with Dengue fever.
Pakistan Cricket Board spokesperson said Shaheen was admitted to a local hospital and is under treatment of specialists.
Afridi was one of the best young players of the World Cup 2019, where he picked up 16 wickets in just five matches.
Meanwhile, opener Fakhar Zaman, though a part of the camp, is yet to resume training due to an injury in his right knee, for which he underwent an MRI yesterday.
The PCB spokesperson added, his scans will now be examined by the PCB medical advisory panel, following which a decision on his participation in the camp will be made.
