Leonardo Dicaprio took pole position on the Cannes red carpet again as he attended the premiere for his Formula E documentary film “And We Go Green”.

The movie, produced by Dicaprio and co-directed by Fisher Stevens and Malcolm Venville, follows a season of the all-electric street racing championship.

Speaking ahead of the premiere, Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag joked that while Dicaprio had not been allowed behind the wheel during production they would be happy to give the Hollywood star a race car if he wanted one.

Former Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone recently said that if he was making a business decision now he would back the emerging electric sport over its more established petrol based rival.
