Chairman Public Accounts Committee Punjab Syed Yawar Bokhari has said that this govt believes in religious freedom , has given priority to the rights of the minorities and for the purpose all out efforts are being made. He said this while addressing concluding ceremony of Besakhi Festival at Gurdwara Siri Punja  Sahib Hasanabdal which was attended by a large number of Sikh Pilgrims including Indians. Yawar Bokhari said that this govt has given full religious freedom to Sikhs and has spent considerable amount on the renovation of Gurdwaras.

He said PTI govt wants better relations with neighbouring countries and always keeps its doors open specially for the Indian Sikhs who intend to visit their religious and sacred places in Pakistan and its ample proof is opening of Kartarpura border to facilitate Sikh pilgrims. Indians Sikh group leaders Sardar Rovindar Singh Khalsa and others also addressed the concluding ceremony and expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made for them .

They said , we feel like at our own homes while visiting Pakistan and said that the people of Pakistan are loving and caring. They said that they were thankful to Govt of Palistan for giving them full religious freedom and keeping their Gurdwaras in better condition . It is worth mentioning that more than five thousand Sikh pilgrims participated in the Besakhi mela which included more than two thiusand Indians. On the occassion Evacuee Trust Property Board had made arrangements for the boarding , messing and medical facilities for Sikhs while Attock police under the suoervision of DPO Attock Syed Shahzad Nadeem had deployed more than two thousand cops and cctv cameras and walk through gates were installed to ensure fool proof security.
