Police have arrested a gang of five decoits wanted by the police of different districts and recovered cash and gold ornaments worth million of rupees from their possession. DPO Attock Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bokhari said this while addressing a press conference in his office on Friday. On the occassion DSP Fayyaz ul Haq , SHO Saddar Police Station Abid Ali , Incharge IT Wing Jahanzeb Khan and Investigating Officer Naeem Shah was also present. DPO sid that the gang which include Muhammad Ashiq , Naeem Khan , Aamir Shahzad , Shabbir and Muhammad Yousaf were involved in burgalries during which they deprived people of cash and other valuables .
The gang normally used to wear Rangers Uniform while committing burglaries and other crimes. He said that the gang has been arrested by Attock police after using modern and convensional techniques and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs one million , Rs 9 lac cash , two kalashankovs , cell phones and Rangers uniforms. He said that the culrpits belong to Attock , Rawalpindi and Azad Kashmir were involved in a dacoity which they committed in village Baryar in last December in the jurisdiction of Attock Saddar Police station and were wanted by the Attock police since then while this gang also committed such type of crimes in the jurisdiction of Murree , Sehala , Kallar Syedan , Kotli Sattian , Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
It is worth mentioning that on the night of 29th Dec, 2018 , three armed burglars (one in Rangers Uniform) entered the house of Sher Ahmed Khan and his relatives in Dhok Manzoor almost 5 km away from Attock Saddar police station . All the dacoits were armed with Kalashankovs and a pistol . The dacoits held all the inmates at gun point, asked them to take out all the valuables and cash and not to make hue and cry other wise will be shot dead. . The dacoits after ensuring that now nothing valuable and cash was left inside the house, locked all the family members in a room and had escaped from the crime scene.
