West Indies women beat Pakistan women in super over by 17 runs after the match ended in a thrilling tie following 20 overs regulation. West Indies set Pakistan 19 to win in super over but Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz could only score one, thus handing West Indies the match and series.

Earlier, opting to bat at the Southend Club Pakistan women scored 132 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Bismah Mahroof scored 31, the most on the score card. Opener Javeria made 26. Nida Dar 25 and Aliya Riaz 23 remained not-out. Deandra Dottin claimed two wickets.

In reply, West Indies women also scored 132 for 6 in their 20 overs forcing a super over.

Campbelle remained top scorer with 41 but it was Chinelle Henry’s 11 off 5 balls that made sure Windies women do not fall behind the target.
