Former President Zardari has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court challenging the constitution of Joint Investigation Team and its findings in the Fake Bank Accounts Case.

Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairperson filed the review petition through his Counsel Latif Khosa.

In the review petition, Asif Ali Zardari questioned the constitution of JIT by the Apex Court.

He maintained that Supreme Court cannot stretch its jurisdiction under article 184(3) to constitute such an Investigation Team when there are already departments available for this purpose.

The review petition further states that the JIT findings do not have any evidentiary value under the Law and Supreme Court cannot make these findings part of the Investigation.

Asif Ali Zardari also prayed before the Apex Court to shift back the investigation back to Karachi.
