Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi have expressed grief over the sad demise of retired Major Geoffrey Langlands.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister expressed sadness over the death of Major Geoffrey.
Sharing his memories with the deceased, the Prime Minister said, Major Geoffrey was his Teacher who instilled the love for trekking and Northern Areas of Pakistan in him before the Karakorum Highway was built.
In a statement, the Foreign Minister said, the death of Geoffrey Langlands deprived Pakistan of a kind Teacher.
Revered in Pakistan and Abroad for his services in the education sector, Major Geoffrey passed away in Lahore at the age of 101 years.
During his life, he was Honoured with Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Order of Saint Michael and Saintt George, and Order of British Empire by the Queen of England for his contribution to Humanity and Education.
