Pakistani weightlifter Rabia Shahzad bagged Gold at the Ralph Cashman Open Weightlifting Championship in New South Wales, Australia.

Shahzad, 20 participated in the 55 kg category of the event and lifted a total of 90 kilograms weight, 40kg snatch 50kg clean jerk to claim the top spot.

Speaking to the media after her win Rabia Shahzad said, “the women players federation does nothing to help women athelets participate in competitions.”

Rabia lamented that she wanted to participate in the Asian power lifting championship but the federation did nothing to ensure her participation.

She continued and by suggested that Pakistan Olympic Association needs to take action against the federation.

Earlier this year, Shahzad won Silver at the Asian Benchpress Championship in Dubai.
