Police have arrested two inter provincial gangs of dacoits and recovered cash,  cell phones and fire arms from their possession. DPO Attock Hasan Asad Alvi said this while addressing a press conference . He said that in the first attempt police have arrested Amjad Khan r/o Nowshera , Muhammad Nawaz r/o Sargodha , Abdul Majeed and Shah Alam r /o Bajawar  while their two accomplices Gul Meer and Sardar Hussain r/o Peshawar are still at large and will be arrested soon.

DPO said that on 13/7/2018  this gang from a petrol station at gun point snatched Rs 2.8 million , 08 cell phones,  a 12 bore rifle,  a pistol and escaped from the crime scene by a car . He said that the owner of the petrol station  Haji Niaz Ameen informed Police about the incident. Police  taking prompt action constituted  an investigation team to arrest the culprits . He said the team using modern techniques  arrested four members of the group and recovered four pistols , 22 rounds and four mobile phines while the snatched amount will soon be recovered from their possession.Mr Alvi said that this gang was wanted in nine cases by Islamabad and Attock police .

He said , in another attempt , police arrested Salman Khan r/o Charsada and Inayat Ullah r/o Peshawar and recovered Rs 450000 , a cell phone and  bike from their possession.  DPO Hasan Asad Alvi said that these culprits on 7th June at gun point had deprived Muhammad Arshad of Rs o.65 million , a cell phone and escaped from the shrine scene. While talking about the rumours of increasing crime rate in Jand City,  he said that so for only two incidents have been reported and police are trying to arrest the culrpits.  He said that beside this nothing has happened and people are just spreading rumours though social media to create unrest among the people.

He requested the people not to believe in rumours till some concrete evidences of any crime are available with them. He said that DSP Jand Abid Hussain Zafar and SHO Jand Tahir Ikram had been directed to increase police patroling and have close contact with the people .
