More than one hundered correspondents across the country working for APP have not been paid their honorarium for the last one year but no one is ready to listen to them. When ever these correspondents approach APP authorities for their dues, the are told that funds are not available. A group of APP Correspondents said this while talking to this Correspondent.  They said, APP recently arranged an international conference in Islamabad for which funds are available but for the correspondents who are backbone of this agency funds are not available. They said, we file stories in urdu and English from across the country for which we are paid a nominal honorarium that too is not paid to us on time. They said , on the one hand Ministry of Information claims lot of facilities for journalists but in fact the situation is not encouraging. They said , a Correspondent who approached federal ombudsman in this context was latter terminated by APP authorities.

They demanded that Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of this.
