Nearly 25,000 Indian farmers, demanding a loan waiver and better crop prices, continue their march towards Mumbai.

The farmers, who set out on the 180-kilometer-long march hope to reach Mumbai on Monday.

There the farmers plan to surround the Maharashtra assembly to press their demands and hold a demonstration against the government’s alleged failure to Fulfil promises made to them.

According to the national crime records bureau more than 12,600 farmers and agricultural labourers committed suicide in 2015 alone.
