World number one Rafael Nadal of Spain pulled out of the Paris masters tennis before his quarter-final with a knee injury.

Meanwhile Fernando Verdasco of Spain, Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina and Julien Benneteau of France qualify for the quarter finals.

The Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who had his right knee strapped during his third-round win, said he wanted to try and be ready to face Filip Krajinovic in the last eight but that “it wasn’t possible to play”.

He did not say if he would be fit to play at the world tour finals in London later this month.
Meanwhile in the third round match, Fernando Verdasco defeated Dominic Thiem of Austria in straight sets by 6-4 and 6-4.

13th seed argentine Juan Martin Del Potro outplayed robin Haase of Netherlands by 7-5 and 6-4.

In another third round match Julien Benneteau outclassed seventh seed David Goffin of Belgium in straight sets by 6-3 and 6-3.

John Isner and jack sock of USA and Marin Cilic of Croatia are the others who also qualify for the quarter finals.
