Former Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan criticized president Donald Trump’s rhetoric and use of twitter in his response to North Korea.

In his UN General Assembly speech in September, U.S. President Donald Trump escalated his standoff with North Korea over its nuclear challenge, threatening to “totally destroy” the country of 26 million people and mocking its leader, Kim Jong Un, as a “rocket man.”

Brennan has in the past been critical of some of trump’s remarks about the U.S. Intelligence community. In July, Brennan criticized as “disgraceful” President Donald Trump’s efforts to play down U.S. Intelligence agencies’ assessment that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. Election.
