Hundreds of Muslims in India’s Southern Bengaluru city staged a protest against the persecution of Rohingya minority in Myanmar.

Myanmar’s military crackdown in Rakhine state has forced 420,000 of Rohingyas to seek shelter in Bangladesh, in a process the U.N. HAS described as “Ethnic cleansing”.

Holding banners and placards, protesters raised slogans against the Myanmar government and demanded an end to escalating violence against the minority community.

A protester Afsar Bega said they want to request India to give refuge to the Rohingyas as they are facing acute hardship in Myanmar.
