At least 23 People were killed and over 40 injured when a Passenger train derailed in Northern India.

Emergency Workers were pulling people out of mangled, upended carriages after 14 coaches of Puri-Haridwar Utkal express derailed near Muzaffarnagar District in Uttar Pradesh State this evening.

One coach rammed into a house on the sides of the tracks and two coaches climbed one over the other.

The Accident is the latest disaster to hit India’s most populous state and comes just a week after dozens of children died at a Hospital that had run out of Oxygen.
