Steven Del Duca Minister of Transportation

Steven Del Duca Minister of Transportation has said that “Over the last decade, Ontario has been improving Highway 6 in Wellington, Grey, and Bruce counties in an effort to build a safe and efficient transportation network – one that is crucial to prosperity and quality of life. With this newly completed section north of Mount Forest, our work of making travel easier for families and businesses is nearly done. We remain committed to keeping this important corridor in good condition so Ontario drivers and goods can get to their destinations safely and smoothly.”

Daiene Vernile Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation has said that “The completion of these improvements to this section of Highway 6 marks a smoother drive for people who live here and those who travel through the area. We’re making the investments needed to allow more seamless transportation right across the province.”

Drivers from Grey County and those passing through the area, will now benefit from improvements to Highway 6 that will help keep traffic moving.

Daiene Vernile, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation, was in Mount Forest today to mark the completion of the highway upgrades.

The completed work includes a repaved surface and improved drainage on 12.4 kilometres of Highway 6 from Mount Forest to the north junction of Grey County Road 9, in the Township of Southgate and the Municipality of West Grey. These improvements will ensure a smooth driving surface for travellers.
