Azad Jammu Kashmir President Masood Khan has said peace in South Asia is not possible without a lasting solution of Kashmir dispute,
He was speaking at the Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid.
Pointing numerous challenges including nuclear and conventional arms race, terrorism, poverty and underdevelopment faced by South Asia, Masood Khan said resolution of Kashmir could help establish peace in the region.
Highlighting India’s policy of using water as weapon of war, Masood Khan called upon India to abide by Indus waters treaty.
Earlier, AJK President Masood Khan urged Spanish and European parliaments to take notice of Human Rights Violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
In a meeting with Senator Oscar Lopez, secretary international relations of the socialist party of the Spain, he said Kashmiri nation is being brutalised for demanding right to self-determination.
Describing the situation in occupied Kashmir as worrying, Senator Lopez said Spanish parliament would play its role to alleviate sufferings of Kashmiris.
During his engagements, Masood Khan also briefed editorial boards of leading Spanish newspapers on Bindian brutalities against innocent Kashmiris.
