Pakistan summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner, J.P. Singh to the Foreign Office in Islamabad and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces in Chirikot and hot spring sectors on 10 and 12 June respectively.
In the Chirikot firing resulted in death of one civilian Shabbir Khan of Polas village aged 70 years.
Today’s unprovoked firing claimed the lives of Waqar Younas and Asad Ali of Bhabra village in hot spring sector and injuries to three others.
The Indian envoy was told that the deliberate targeting of civilians is indeed condemnable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws.
He was urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LOC.
