Pakistan has lodged strong protest over unprovoked cross-border firing by afghan forces in Chaman.

Afghan charge d’ affairs was summoned to foreign office to lodge protest.

The Afghan Charge d’ Affairs was conveyed Pakistani authorities had shared with Afghan Government population census was underway in the area.

Apart from loss of precious lives, foreign office told the Afghan official that unprovoked firing has disrupted census and caused damage to properties.

Urging Afghan government to take immediate steps to end such hostilities, Pakistan also demanded action against those responsible for cross-border violation.
