Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed the hope to further enhance trade, investment and development relationship with Japan.

He said Pakistan now offers great investment opportunities in various sectors that can be utilized by Japanese investors.

The Prime Minister was talking to Nobuo Kishi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan who called on him in Islamabad.

Nawaz Sharif warmly welcomed the state minister and his delegation to Pakistan and stated that Pakistan is keen to carry forward the shared vision for promoting peace, prosperity and development of our people.

He recalled very warm and cordial exchange with Prime Minister Abe in New York in September last year and reaffirmed the common commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Japan has been an important development partner of Pakistan and a number of development projects in Pakistan have been completed with Japan’s assistance and support.

Nobuo Kishi thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation and expressed the hope to further strengthen Japan – Pakistan bilateral relations.
