People lined the streets of the U.S. Capital to watch a parade marking the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Floats, marching bands and giant balloons all made their way down Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C.

The festival began in mid-march and will continue through April 16th. Organizers told NBC news they expect more than one-point-five million people to attend the festival this year to see the Cherry Blossoms.
