United States has said it will try and “find its place” in efforts to de-escalate tensions between Pakistan and India.Expressing concern over the relationship between two countries, US permanent representative to the UN Nikki Haley said U.S. wants to play its role rather than waiting for “something to happen”.

She was answering a reporter’s question at her news conference on assuming Presidency of the Security Council for the month of April.

Indicating President Donald Trump could play a role in such endeavors, the U.S. Envoy said U.S. Wants to adopt a proactive approach to deal with the issue. The remarks are first time a member of the trump cabinet, has addressed tensions between pakistan and India.
