The Seventh Chengdu International Kite Festival kicked off in the namesake city of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Elaborately designed kites flew in the sky, attracting a lot of visitors.
There were colorful kites in the shape of wolves, butterflies, wheels, and other nontraditional kite design soaring in the sky. A huge “Chinese Dragon” kite attracted the most attention.
It is 48 meters long and has attended many competitions across China and has won many prizes. He make of the “Chinese Dragon” said he worked for eight hours per day and it needed two or three months to finish.
The Annual Festival attracted kite enthusiasts from across China to participate.
