The CORPS Commanders Conference held at GHQ Rawalpindi chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa reviewed geo-strategic and security environment with special focus on internal security, Pak-Afghan Border situation and Indian Cease Fire violations along line of control and working boundary.
The Army Chief apprised the participants about his visits to UAE and Qatri leadership which remained successful in making positive progress.
The CORPS Commanders Conference hailed performance of Security Forces including Police, Intelligence and other Law Enforcement Agencies for effective response to recent terrorist incidents and security arrangements for PSL Final at Lahore.
Meeting also discussed operation Radd – ul – Fasaad in details.
The Army Chief said that operation Raddul Fassad is a comprehensive across the board operation against terrorists and terrorism and not against any particular race, sect or group.
The forum also acknowledged participation and support by Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan navy in the ongoing operations.
Progress of National Action plan was also discussed.
Forum concluded that through operation Raddul Fassad implementation of National Action plan needs to be expedited jointly by respective stake holders for lasting peace and stability in the country.
Forum concluded that hostile agencies are trying to undo pakistan’s gains in security and development especially CPEC.
It reiterated resolve of pak army to play its due role towards defence and security of the motherland.
The army chief said sacrifices made by resilient people of pakistan and its brave security forces shall not go waste.
