Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agree to improve ties, including enhancing cooperation in fight against terrorism.

According to Iran’s state news agency, Irna the development came on sideline of economic cooperation summit in Islamabad.

Tehran and Ankara have been supporting opposite sides in the conflict in Syria.

In another conciliatory move by turkey, Turkish Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu told Irna in an interview that Ankara appreciates Tehran’s expressions of support for government during a failed military coup against Erdogan.
