Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said over the last three years Pakistan has made substantial gains in war on terror, thwarting both internal and external threats.

Addressing the ninth National integrated anti-terrorism course at National counter-terrorism centre in Kharian, Interior Minister said our armed forces imbued with spirit of sacrifice, are capable of responding to all threats.

Three hundred eighty eight individuals of FC, police, rangers and other law enforcing agencies graduated through this batch.

Since setting up of national counter terrorism centre over 2,35,000 individuals including international military troops from different countries have been trained by Pakistan army at this facility.

The training was organized on direction from Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa which shall continue to enhance operational efficiency of police and other law enforcing agencies.

Speaking on the occasion the chief guest appreciated Pakistan army’s continuous assistance and training support for capacity enhancement of police and other leas for counter terrorism operations.

Ch. Nisar lauded the sacrifices rendered by armed forces, civil society, intelligence agencies and other leas in fight against terrorism.

He also witnessed anti-terror drills by the newly-trained personnel at the national counter terrorism centre.
