Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha told the National Assembly that various steps have been taken to improve the performance of Pakistan Television.

He was winding up discussion on a resolution moved by Begum Tahira Bukhari urging the government to take steps to improve the performance of PTV.

The Parliamentary Secretary said that during the last three and a half years five TV boosters have been set up and more boosters are being installed to enhance its viewership.

The National Assembly also passed a resolution urging the government to take steps to simplify the procedure of payment of Pension.

The National Assembly Today passed “the National Commission on the status of Women (Amendment) bill, 2016” and a bill the compulsory blood test of the relatives of Thalassaemia Patient bill 2016. The House has been prorogued.
