Pakistan and Palestine have agreed to continue joint efforts with international community for peace in Palestine.

Agreement was reached during delegation level talks between Pakistan and Palestine in Islamabad this evening at the Presidency.

The Pakistan Delegation was led by President Mamnoon Hussian while the Palestinian Delegation was led by the President Mahmoud Abbas.

Both sides agreed to further boost trade and defence ties between the two countries.

Safron Minister Abdul Qadar Baloch, advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant to PM on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi assisted the Pakistan Delegation while Palestinian Foreign Minister Mohammad Abdullah assisted President President Mahmoud Abbas.

On the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain told the Palestinian President that Pakistani people kept the Palestinians close to their hearts and reiterated Pakistan would always raise the Palestine issue at all fora.

The President said Pakistan strongly condemned the atrocities committed by the armed Israeli forces against Palestinians.

Both the leaders expressed concern on human rights violations and stressed upon the need to resolve the issue of Palestine according to the wishes of the Palestinians.

Earlier President Mahmoud Abbas held a one on one meeting with the President Mamnoon Hussain.

The President expressed good wishes for the people of Palestine.

Reciprocating to the sentiments President Mahmoud Abbas thanked President Mamnoon Hussain and said he considered Pakistan as his second home.

President Mamnoon Hussain also showed personal possessions of the father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah including a personal diary having record of domestic expenditures of the founder of the Nation and other personal items to President Mahmoud Abbas.

President Abbas expressed keen interest while seeing the possessions of the Quaid.

President Mamnoon Hussain hosted a state banquet in honor of the visiting dignitary.

High ranking civil and military officials were present on the occasion.

Earlier on arrival at aAiwan e Sadr Palestinian President was warmly welcomed by President Mamnoon Hussain.

Children attired in traditional dresses presented flowers to the visiting dignitary.

The Palestinian President thanked the govt. and people of Pakistan for warm sentiments.
