Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said government is focused on trade and economic cooperation, rather than aid. He expressed these views in a meeting with Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg on sidelines of World Economic Forum.

Maintaining Pakistan greatly values its relations with Norway, Nawaz Sharif underscored need for regular interaction at high level to boost ties further. In this regard, he extended an invitation to Norwegian Prime Minister to visit Pakistan.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also said Norway is a strong partner in investment, trade and development cooperation with Pakistan. On the occasion, Norwegian Prime Minister expressed desire to fully harness the trade potential offered by Pakistan acknowledging Pakistan’s economic revival; she also appreciated government’s business friendly policies.
