Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said that this govt is committed to eradicate unemployment and poverty by producing skilled manpower and to achieve this goal short and long term technical courses have been launched in technical institutes. He said this before distributing certificates among 120 security guards at GCT(Govt Technical College ) Attock. On the occassion Chaiman Tehsil Council Sheikh Nasir Mehmood and Vice Chairman Malik Tahir Awan were also present.Federal Ministersaid that different technical courses at federal and provincial level for the youth that too free of cost and with stipend is a praise worthy step by this govt .He emphasised upon the passing out security guards to play their vital role in ensuring security and law and order as both are mandatory for the prosperity and development of any country. Earlier in his welcome address Principal GCT Attock Engineer Mumtaz high lighted the achievements of the college. He said that at present more than 1300 students were studying in this institute learning different technologies. He said that under “Punjab Growth Strategy” 120 security guards have been trained and now these security guards can use modern weapons and can provide first aid , extinguish fire and can even defuse bombs in case of any emergency. Later Federal Minister gave away certificates to the passing out security guards.
