Australian Police said they had brought down a cocaine syndicate after seizing an estimated 259 million dollar worth of cocaine in two drug busts since march.

According to the police, they have arrested 15 alleged members.

The announcement comes after police seized 500 kg of cocaine on Christmas day during a night raid on boat in Brooklyn, a town North of Sydney.

Police said that they believed the syndicate involved was also linked to 600 kg of cocaine that was seized in Tahiti in March.

In the last two years, the Australian border force has intercepted and detected 12.5 tonnes of narcotics that was attempted to be imported into Australia.
