Passengers from hijacked Libyan Plane returned to Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport.

Two hijackers who diverted the plane to Malta and threatened to blow up the aircraft surrendered themselves to authorities after releasing everyone on board and leaving the plane.

Two men used fake weapons to hijack the plane with 117 people on board and diverted it to Malta.

The Airbus A320 had been on a domestic Libyan Route operated by Afriqiyah Airways from Sabha in the South to the Capital Tripoli but was re-routed and landed in Malta.
