Sydney Sixers beat Sydney Thunders by nine wickets in the opening match of Big Bash Cricket League at Sydney.

Batting first Sydney Thunders scored 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 20 over’s.
Opener Ryan Gibson remained top scorer with 53 runs knock while Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan made 30 and 26 runs respectively.
For Sydney Sixers Ben Dwarshuis, Joe Mennie and Dough Bollinger took two wickets each.
In reply Sydney Sixers achieved the 160-run target for the loss of just one wicket in 18 over’s.
Moises Henriques remained top scorer with unbeaten 76 runs knock. He hit seven boundaries and four sixes in his innings.
Daniel Hughes hit 54 not out with the help of five boundaries and one six.
Gibson declared man of the match.
