World Bank has asked Pakistan and India to resolve amicably their differences over Kishenganga and Ratle hydroelectric projects in line with the spirit of Indus basin treaty. According to a World Bank press release, its president has written letters to Finance Ministers of Pakistan and India in this regard. The bank has announced a pause in the separate processes initiated by Pakistan and India under the Indus waters treaty to allow the two countries to consider alternative ways to resolve their disagreements.
