Australia beat New Zealand by 68 runs in the first One Day International, taking 1-nil lead in Three Match series in Sydney. PTV Sports telecasted the match live. Batting first Australia scored 324 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 50 over’s. Skipper Steve Smith remained top scorer with 164 runs knock. He smashed 14 boundaries and four sixes in his 157-ball knock. Travis head scored 52 while Mathew Wade hit 38 runs. For New Zealand, Matt Henry, Trent Boult and Jimmy Neesham took two wickets each. In reply chasing 325, New Zealand bowled out for 256 runs in 44.2 over’s. Opener Martin Guptill remained top scorer with 114 runs knock. He smashed 10 boundaries and six sixes in his innings. Colin Munro made 49 while Jimmy Neesham scored 34 runs. For Australia, Josh Hazlewood bagged three wickets while mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa took two wickets each.
