Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch says voluntary and dignified return of Afghan Refugees to their homeland will be completed by the end of next year.
In an interview, he said Pakistan, Afghanistan and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees have unanimously declared 2017 ‘the year of repatriation.’
Abdul Qadir Baloch said presently there is a winter pause and the process of return of refugees will resume from March next year.
To a question, the Minister said today people feel safe in quite contravention to the atmosphere of fear and terror prevailing in the country in 2013 due to effective steps of the government..
He said life has become normal in Karachi and FATA. The terrorists have moved across the border, and they are operating in Pakistan from there.
To another question, Abdul Qadir Baloch said people have reposed confidence in PML-N in local government and by-elections.
He asked PTI to play its parliamentary role and focus on poverty, unemployment and other social issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
