federal ombudsman of Pakistan has launched Public Complaints Resolution Mechanism.
The system will propitiate the public complaints within fifteen days, the it aims to improve performance of the institution by ensuring cheap justice to masses.
In this regard a launching ceremony was held at Planning Commission Auditorium in Islamabad on Thursday.
Addressing the ceremony, federal ombudsman Salman Farooqi expressed his commitment to ensure the availability of justice at doorsteps of the people.
While expressing his views, he said the institution is also playing a pivotal role in hearing and deciding complaints of overseas through Skype or video conference.
He said during his tenure, relief has been provided to almost 300,000 families so far and there is no pendency.
The federal ombudsman stressed the need for an in-house institutional system in all government agencies for instant redressal of grievance of general public.
