Renowned Pakistani mountaineer Hassan Sadpara, who had the distinction of climbing Everest without oxygen kit, passed away in Rawalpindi today (Monday).
Sadpara was suffering from blood cancer and was admitted in a Rawalpindi Hospital.
He was the first Pakistani mountaineer to have climbed six high mountains, including the world’s highest peak Everest , K2 , Gasherbrum I , Gasherbrum II, Nanga Parbat and Broad Peak.
President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Pakistani mountaineer Hasan Sadpara.
The President prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Mamnoon Hussain said the services of Hassan Sadpara will be remembered forever.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned mountaineer.
The Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan has lost its hero today. He said the entire nation is proud of his outstanding performance.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir also condoling the sad demise of renowned Mountaineer Hassan Sadpara paid rich tributes to him for earning proud for Pakistan.
