The Pakistan Railways (PR) has made foolproof security arrangements for Sikh pilgrims arriving Pakistan tomorrow by special trains to participate in ceremonies regarding birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Jee.
According to a spokesman, the Indian Sikh pilgrims will arrive through the Wagha Border where the Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board will welcome them at Wahga railway station.
He said that special security arrangements have been made by the Railway Police under the supervision of DIG Railways Headquarters Shariq Jamal Khan and SSP Railways Lahore Qaiser Bashir Makhdoom.
He said that special staff along with a deputy superintendent will be deployed with each Sikh Special Train besides deploying commandos and lady commandos.
The spokesman said that strict security arrangements have also been made at Wahga, Lahore, Nankana Sahib and Hassan Abdal railway stations.
He said that Railway Police Bomb Disposal staff has been directed to search all trains and platforms at railway stations.
He said that a control room has also been set up at the Central Railway Police Office to monitor Sikh Special Trains.
