ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)
government has allocated Rs. 48,728 million for the construction of
small dams for the last four years (2012-13 to 2015-16).
Current year (2016-17) federal budget allocation is Rs. 11,581
million, said a document of Ministry of Planning and Development and
The federal government has provided funds for construction of
small dams which are Rs. 10,850 million in 2012-13, Rs. 15,448
million in 2013-14, Rs. 11,041 million in 2014-15 , Rs. 11,387
million in 2015-16 and Rs. 11,581 million in 2016-17.
Talking to APP, an official of Ministry of Planning and
Development and Reform said small dams will help to meet the
requirement of water especially for agriculture sector.
