ISLAMABAD. The forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in occupied Kashmir, has lauded the people of Kashmir for showing consistency and steadfastness in supporting the mass uprising and following call of the joint resistance leadership.
According to Kashmir Media Service,The forum spokesperson in a
statement issued in Srinagar said that peoples trust and support would go long way to carry forward the joint resistance movement towards the right to self-determination and freedom.
He said for suppressing the sentiment of the masses, the ruling regime has left no stone unturned like its predecessors since 1947. “Pellets and bullets are being fired to control the mass revolt in which over 110 innocent civilians have been killed, over 16,000 people, blinded, maimed and handicapped, over 15000 people mostly youth and children arrested, thousands of houses damaged and people harassed to crush the people’s movement,” he added.
The spokesman said that the government forces continued their crackdown and raids in Daberna Islamabad, Naid Khai, Tulmullah, Singhpora, Bandipora, Kreeri, Pulwama, Shopian and other areas across the territory.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Hurriyet leaders comprising Molvi Muhammad Ashraf, Haji Bashir Ahmad Khan and Khawaja Ghulam Hassan Shah offered Fateha, who was killed a few days back, and paid glowing tributes to him.
He said the sacrifices of youth like Qaiser and Gowhar are the real asset of the ongoing resistance movement and will bear fruit.
