LAHORE. Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman on Wednesday visited playfields such at Pandoki, Arorra, Asil Suleman and Badoki in the city and also inspected the available sports facilities there on Wednesday.
Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman was also accompanied by Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Director SBP Tariq Wattoo, Assistant Director Waqas Akber and Chief Engineer Mir Muneer during his visits of sports venues in the city.
He inspected the under-construction sports playfields minutely and directed the concerned staff to complete the construction work as early as possible. He issued stern warnings to some contractors for their lethargic work.
Talking to media he said Sports Board Punjab, under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, is trying its best to complete all the sports facilities including gymnasiums and playfields in shortest possible time. “These sports gymnasiums and grounds will play an important role in locating and polishing fresh talent in the province particularly rural areas,” he added.
Ghumman said development work on sports venues, sports complex, grounds is underway and it will be completed in near future. “Competing the sports infrastructure in shortest possible time is our top priority and with the grace of God we will be able to attain our task within the stipulated span of time,” he stressed.
