One hundred and forty seven million saplings have been planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) during the Tsunami Billion Trees Campaign.

Official sources told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent Falak Niaz that these saplings are planted in the Malakand, Hazara, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan Divisions of the province.

The government is targeted to enhance twenty to thirty percent of area under forestation by end of 2018.

This will help in overcoming pollution and land erosion in the province.
